How is it possible that we’re halfway through the summer already?

From happy conversations at breakfast to quiet moments watching the sun dip behind the trees at Balfour Beach, this summer has unfolded in the most beautiful way. Campers have grown more confident, more connected, and more curious. They’ve tried new things—like paddling out for their first canoe trip, starring in the talent show, or cheering at the top of their lungs as they watch their cabin mates “Capture the Flag”.

The staff? Well, they continue to lead with energy and heart. It’s been amazing to watch friendships deepen—not just among campers, but between generations of Katonim leaders and learners.

Now, with two sessions behind us and two ahead, it’s the perfect time to pause and appreciate how far we’ve come. Whether it’s the first time a camper finally swam under water, or the moment a shy voice sang loud in the performing arts building—these are the memories we live for.

So here’s to the second half. To silliness. To growth. To bonfire stories and cooling off in the lake. To every camper who is writing their own Katonim story this summer—we’re so proud of you.
