Camp jobs offer invaluable skill-building, leadership, training, and enrichment opportunities that can’t be found anywhere else! Regardless of your education, camp experiences allow you to learn and develop skills that will enhance your job marketability. Corporate communities, organizations and associations recognize that experience as a camp counsellor translates into excellent management and personnel skills.
Some positions offer optional on-site residence from Sunday night to Friday afternoon.
Staff Opportunities
Positions we are hiring for include:
- Cabin Counsellors
- Specialty Instructors (Landsports, A & C, Drama, Dance)
- Waterfront Specialty Instructors (Canoe, Kayak/Paddleboard, Waterski, NLS Certified Swim)
- All positions including head (supervisory) staff
Staff work daily Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and will travel to and from camp on a daily basis.
Staff busing from Toronto/Thornhill will be provided.
Staff Requirements
You must be born in 2005 or earlier to be eligible for employment at Camp Katonim.
Waterfront Staff Requirements
All waterfront staff must have the following requirements:
- Life Saving Bronze Cross Certification or NLS
All swim staff must also have completed:
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification and/or Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification.
Photocopies of all valid certifications must be received by June 15, 2022.
