ARTS AND CRAFTS
The ever popular A & C program allows campers to dive into their creativity while making many traditional camp projects such as friendship bracelets or tie dye shirts. We take great pride in offering a wide variety of A & C projects for our campers.
Ceramics is scheduled as a separate activity in addition to the regular arts and crafts programming provided at Camp Katonim. Campers mold interesting masterpieces out of clay which are then fired in our kiln and decorated. Parents are invited to a mini Art Show which showcases all of the campers’ creations.
PERFORMING ARTS (DANCE AND DRAMA)
Campers participate in a variety of drama activities such as drama games, improve activities, dress up, and more! These activities allow our campers to explore their hidden talents all while taking risks in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Campers also get into the groove showing off their moves. Performing Arts is also where campers can learn the annual camp dance so they can join along with the staff in a spontaneous flash mob.
KATONIM TALENT SHOW
Dancing, singing, acting or just having fun. Campers are encouraged to participate in a skit with their group at the annual Katonim Talent Show. This happens once a summer and allows for an opportunity to showcase the skills they’ve been learning in our creative arts program. Campers and parents alike are entertained by a variety of acts including performances by the staff.
Every year the staff work very hard with the campers to put on the annual Katonim Camper Play. Past performances have included the Lion King and Alice in Wonderland. Parents look forward to coming to camp to watch their children’s performances.
