OUR 2024 TEAM (and growing…)

Mark Mingail, Director

Mark has over 20 years of camp experience as a camper, waterfront and head staff, and ultimately as a camp director. He has worked in numerous residential camp settings and provides leadership to a team of school social workers.

He has been a clinical supervisor and camp director at camps for children with learning disabilities and associated disorders and has been involved with Provincial Camp Associations and Children Mental Health Centers within School Boards and Hospital settings.  Mark is a father of three kids, aged 12, 15 and 17; and his wife, Robyn, works in special education.

Mark is thrilled to be a part of the camp community and help create a camp experience for Katonim’s 90th anniversary as safely as fun as camp can be!

 Anthony Meles, Waterfront Director

Anthony is thrilled to be joining the Camp Katonim family as the new Waterfront Director in 2023! He comes to us with years of previous experience as a Director of Waterfront, swim instructor, and lifeguard at a camp in Quebec; he has also been a head of sailing at a camp in Maine. His love for the beach and being on the lake is only superseded by his emphasis of safety on the waterfront.

Anthony has also been a middle school teacher for the Toronto District School Board for the past 23 years. While his passion is teaching Science, he is proficient in teaching English, Mathematics, Physical Education, and Social Studies. He is a father to two wonderful girls aged 11 and 13 and his wife works as an occupational therapist.

He is looking forward to being part of the enthusiastic Camp Katonim team and getting to know all the staff and especially the campers. His goal is that all the campers take home new skills and lasting memories from the amazing waterfront specialists.
